To continue its improvement, the city needs a consistent, fact-based discussion about student outcomes—one that is unafraid to talk about both the successes and failures.
Both district and charter schools are unfairly funded. Every student in the city deserves access to the resources they need to learn at the highest level.

My Schools Newark is a new initiative to support Newark parents and families with school selection and enrollment in Newark.
It was founded in response to trends in Newark and across the country that show declining enrollment in public schools during the COVID 19 pandemic. It aims to help schools in Newark increase their enrollment through new tools, outreach & partnerships, and community feedback.
My Schools Newark is working with schools and community organizations to launch a ‘beta’ (or test) version of the online platform in 2021 in alignment with the Newark Enrolls window, to help the District and other participating schools increase enrollment for the 2022-23 school year.
The My Schools Newark “School Explorer” will be the foundation for the resources provided to Newark families and community members to support and increase school enrollment locally.
